Lang Reid, book critic for the Pattaya Mail Newspaper – ”A first book for author Craig Hurren, but one that seems to have caught the imagination of the reading public, with several insisting I review The Killing Code. This plot has everything, and only a very wild imagination could or would come up with it. For a first book, this is a stunner. The truth of this writer’s excellence will depend upon his being able to come up with another equally as baffling.”Colin Murray, Freelance Editor at Writers’ Services UK – ”This very competently written thriller has been well researched and thought through. The characters are nicely drawn and the author writes clearly and keeps the pace fast. The Killing Code combines some of the scientific elements of Michael Crichton and some of the barnstorming aspects of Matthew Reilly to hit the adult thriller market spot on.”Detective Alan Beach discovers a tenuous connection between the apparent suicide of a prominent scientist and the assassination of a US Congressman. The suspense builds as he struggles to uncover the truth and a team of mercenaries tries to permanently silence him but a mysterious figure intervenes. Beach and his deadly new protector discover a dangerous conspiracy which runs far deeper than they imagined. In this must read thriller, the race is on to stop one of the most powerful business moguls in America from assuming the role of puppet-master over the entire nation. With astonishing medical technology, spectacular but realistic special forces action and weaponry, intelligent detective work and a clever, gripping plot, The Killing Code is set to surprise and delight readers who enjoy thrillers, including techno thrillers, action and adventure, medical thrillers and scifi thrillers.
