Nuno Miguel Gomes Bentes Lampreia (born 27 September 1978 in Lisbon), known as Gomes, is a Portuguese footballer who plays for Akritas Chlorakas in Cyprus, as a defender. An unsuccessful youth graduate from Sporting Clube de Portugal’s famed youth system, Gomes made his professional debuts with F.C. Felgueiras, moving in January 2001 to S.C. Campomaiorense, in what would be his first first division experience, with relegation. Gomes then returned for the following seven years to the second level, with G.D. Chaves (two years) and Varzim SC; at the end of 2008-09, in which he scored seven league goals for the latter, he had an unsuccessful trial with Luton Town, then in the English fourth division, but eventually moved to U.D. Leiria, which had freshly returned to level one.
